So Sunday was the MTV Video Music Awards and I must say I liked it. I use to watch it all the time in growing up and ever since I got out of high school I am not sure if my style has changed or the programing itself has because it wasn’t that good the previous years. It opened up with Eminem performing and I must admit he did his thing. Rhianna also performed with him. I am not sure what she was wearing but she sounded great. The host was Chelsea Handler, she has a show on E. I never really knew too much about her so I didn’t know what to expect. It was the first time that MTV has chosen to have a female host and I think she did a great job.
I did like all the skits and I think the one in the beginning with Lindsey Lohan was just hilarious. She seems like she is one of those people that can make fun of anyone and not really care what people say. I haven’t seen Usher performed in a while and all of it was great! He is so talented musician and dancer wise it was just amazing in my opinion. Lady Gaga was nominated for 13 VMA which is the highest ever. And she was able to take home 8 awards including Video of the Year for her song Bad Romance. I know she had these ridiculous outfits but that is what makes her different from the others. If she was just a normal artist I bet she would have not won or have even been nominated for all those awards. I don’t like the fact that people want to always criticize her yet she keeps coming out on top. But just so that everyone knows her meat dress was made out of real meat!!
So I know this Justin Bieber kid is like way popular. I do admit I like some of his songs but I never knew what the big deal was. But I saw him perform and I must say he is great. He reminds me of like the now Nick Carter. I didn’t know he danced. I just thought he was a kid who sung and all the girls thought he was cute. I forgot to mentioned that Eminem won 2 awards as well. It was nice to see him again after his little hiatus. What was your opinion about the VMA’s?
