Okay so as I was finishing my homework I was watching Social Network for the third or fourth time and I keep thinking to myself are some people just born with brains or is it a gift or what. I mean Mark Zuckerberg created something HUGE in the dorm room of his college. And now he is the worls youngest billionaire!! That is a huge accomplishment!! Okay I know he was smart because he went to Harvard but it just wows me how people are so talented that can come up with ideas that are worth billions of dollars. Everyone has thought about doing something. How many times are you sitting somewhere and just thinking about doing something that could be the next big thing?
It is almost similar to sports. These athletes get paid millions of dollars for a gift they have. But then I think to myself is it really a gift or is it just hard work and determination? Did their parents force them to go to practice day in and day out because of something they saw inside of them? I wonder how many athletes actually enjoy the game they play rather than the money they are making. Take LeBron James for example what if no one noticed him in high school, would he still be the big star he is today? Do you have to be in the right place at the right time for someone to notice you? I wonder how fame really works sometimes..
I have a really smart friend Alex (www.geilt.com) who is extremely smart. I feel dumb when I talk to him at times. He builds my spirits at times because he says he sees something in me that I could do something huge with social media but I just feel at times that I don’t know what to do with it. He finally stood up for himself at work and took a leap of faith and started his own company (www.esotech.org). He can do almost everything on a computer. He designs websites, databases, etc. The coding and programming he does is just absolutely nuts. He tries to show me at times and I just nod like I understand when he is speaking but in actuality I don’t most of the time (sorry Alex). And I keep telling him with his smarts he could design the next Facebook or social media websites. I know he has the ability too.
Anyways enough of me rambling but I wonder if I have a gift to do something or maybe I just haven’t found it yet. When
